Recovery, Resilience, and the Metabolic Foundation of Healing
May 22, 2026This week, I’m living what I teach.
Surgery number two is officially behind me, and recovery has become a reminder that healing is not passive it is deeply metabolic.
Most people think energy, focus, and healing are separate conversations. They’re not.
The same metabolic systems that influence executive performance, mental clarity, cravings, and burnout also influence how well the body repairs itself after stress, illness, or surgery.
At Hahn Health, we focus on metabolic logic: Giving the body the right environment to create stable energy and support healing from the inside out.
That includes:
• Prioritizing protein
• Stabilizing blood sugar
• Reducing inflammatory foods
• Supporting sleep and stress management
• Using intermittent fasting strategically
Intermittent fasting is not about deprivation. It is about allowing the body periods of rest from constant digestion so insulin levels can come down and the body can access stored fuel more efficiently.
When the body is no longer stuck on the blood sugar rollercoaster, energy becomes more stable, inflammation may improve, and recovery becomes more supported.
This week has also reminded me how important systems and support are during healing. I’m incredibly grateful for my team and for the people helping keep Hahn Health running smoothly while I focus on recovery.
Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is heal well.
